At Dr. Dixon’s Cali KiDDS Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, we’ve always believed that caring for children means supporting the whole child — healthy smiles, strong bodies, curious minds, and bright futures. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to announce that we are the Title Sponsor of the DMSEF+ program for the 2025-26 school year!
What is DMSEF and the DMSEF+ Program?
The Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF) is a volunteer, parent-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been enriching public education in the Del Mar Union School District (DMUSD) since 2000. Their flagship DMSEF+ (STEAM+) program funds credentialed specialist teachers in Science, Innovation & Technology, Art, Music, and Physical Education at all nine elementary schools in Del Mar and Carmel Valley.
State and local funding covers about 70% of these vital positions. DMSEF steps in to raise the remaining 30% — with a goal of $1.4 million this year — so every child receives weekly hands-on, engaging STEAM+ instruction that sparks creativity, builds critical thinking, promotes physical health, and prepares them for the future.
Over the past 25+ years, DMSEF has raised millions of dollars and directly impacted more than 15,000 local students.

We’ve been a 100% family-owned pediatric dental and orthodontic practice in San Diego for over 50 years, with deep roots right here in the Pacific Highlands Ranch area of Carmel Valley. Many of the families we serve send their children to DMUSD schools — which means we see every day how a strong educational foundation helps kids grow into confident, healthy young people.
Supporting DMSEF+ is a natural extension of our mission. Just as we teach children the lifelong habits that protect their smiles, we want to help give them the tools that expand their minds and strengthen their bodies. Science lessons today might inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. Art and music build creativity and self-expression. Physical education promotes the active lifestyles that support oral and overall health.
